RCB did the right thing in retaining Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, and Richa Ghosh, and that pretty much solves their problem in at least two departments, ahead of the WPL 2026 auction. The top order looks sorted with the presence of Mandhana and the Aussie, with the Indian keeper-batter taking care of the lower-order, where power-hitting is needed.

Their fourth retention was that of Shreyanka Patil, who comes in as a reliable off-spinner. So, now, InsideSport takes a look at the players that RCB need to target at the WPL 2026 auction.

Players RCB should buy at WPL 2026 auction

Yastika Bhatia: She is a keeper-batter and bats top, or middle-order. That essentially solves two purposes — she becomes as a back up keeper, and also provides stability at the top. She was released by MI, and averages 18 for now, but can of course improve upon her numbers.

Sree Charani: Given what she did at the Women’s World Cup, it was a bit of a shocker that DC let go Charani, but should be on RCB’s radar. She not only picks wickets, but is economical as well.

Priya Mishra: She is an excellent leg-spinner and is a proven performer at the international level. She was released by Gujarat Giants, and could be effective for RCB.

Kiran Navgire: She is one explosive batter at the top. She has scored three WPL fifties and boasts of a strike-rate of 140, which is unheard of. Since she isn’t very consistent, teams might not fancy bagging her, but RCB should.

Tahila McGrath: Another great all-round option for the team, Tahila strikes at 135, and is a more than decent pacer too. She is a certain starter.
