A decade lengthy journey for the Sohar Malayalee Sangam is bearing ample fruits, as youths and college students from throughout Oman are keenly awaiting to showcase their skills on the two-day grand occasion on November 7-Eighth at Sohar Plaza.  

As a part of the tenth celebrations, His Excellency G. V. Srinivas, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, would be the chief visitor on the grand occasion, introduced Manoj Kumar, President, SMS, on  Wednesday night.

The 2-day occasion is organized in affiliation with the Indian Social Membership, Sohar, with over 500 members from throughout Oman viz. Sohar, Muscat, Salalah, Sur amongst different locations, Manoj stated.

 At a press briefing, the organisers stated that the off-stage competitions can be held on October 24 at Lulu Mall, Sohar, whereas the on-stage occasions are scheduled for November 7 and eight at Sohar Plaza. The pageant goals to advertise creativity, teamwork, and cultural unity among the many youths and college students in Oman.

“The competitions can be performed in 4 classes: Sub Junior, Junior, Senior, and Open to All. The occasion will characteristic 44 competitions spanning literary, inventive, and performing arts classes,” he revealed.

Over 500 members throughout Oman are anticipated to participate within the pageant. A panel of 14 eminent judges from India and the UAE will professionally adjudicate the competitions, the judges names is not going to be disclosed till the eleventh hour, stated Vasudevan Pittan, Normal Secretary.
