Mumbai: There will probably be no change within the IPL-2026 schedule in Assam, with Guwahati on observe to stage three matches involving the Rajasthan Royals, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed to TOI after the Election Fee of India on Sunday introduced the Assam elections in a single section on April 9.In line with the schedule of the primary 20 matches of IPL-2026 launched by the BCCI, Guwahati is scheduled to host two IPL matches across the election interval within the state, with RR set to tackle the Mumbai Indians on April 7 after which Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10. “There will probably be no rescheduling of IPL matches in Guwahati in Assam. I’ve already spoken to the honourable Assam Chief Minister (Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma) and the Guwahati Commissioner of Police, Partha Sarathi Mahanta.
