Poem: On Drifting Aside

It’s time to say goodbye, however I don’t

Know why I sigh once I shake arms

With you: possibly it’s as a result of I really feel

Blue on the thought that we could by no means

Meet once more, pal. We return an extended

Means: we was once kids at play, 

Floating paper boats on a transparent, blue lake.

To your sake, I keep in mind how I’d

Give you a chunk of fruit to fulfill your

Starvation and, to quench your thirst, a glass

Of water too. We have been true to our childhood

As soon as upon a time, however, sadly, time has

Moved on and so should we: parting feels

Nearly like it’s written in our future.

Even so, I’ll maintain hope alive and keep

Optimistic about our probabilities to satisfy once more:

We’re soul vacationers and, subsequently, everlasting pals.
